Why did you select this trailer to show the class?
This movie is one of my favorite movies and also it was one of the few movies that I watched in elementary school rather than comedies or animation movies. This movie is inspirational and makes me think about my own life because Forrest never stopped running for the things he cared about, no matter what kind of obstacles he faced. Therefore, by showing this movie trailer to the class, I hope that it can also inspire and trigger us for being grateful to all the things we have and never giving up on the things we love.
Based on the trailer, what do you think the movie is about?
Although I have already watched this movie for several times, but after watching the trailer, I can see that this movie is talking about Forrest Gump, who was a kind and honest man. It started when he was young, although being bullied, he started running when his friend, Jenny, told him so, and he never stopped running. Later, he became a football player and even a ping pong player. He joined the U.S. forces and served in the Vietnam War. He fell in love with Jenny when he was young and loved her ever since. But it seemed that their relationship wasn't stable enough and maybe there isn't a happy ending. By watching this movie, I think we can observe the history of the international status during the 70's and 80's throughout Forrest's life, too.
This movie has be played again on the HBO recently! despite I have already watched this movie several times, I still watch it again. I didn't really understand what this movie want to tell us when I was small, But now I realize and wish I can have the spirit of Forrest Gump- just keep running.

The saying "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get." had made this movie so popular and almost everyone at the same age as we do watched the movie before. The spirit of Forrest Gump really helps when something suddenly blocked our path, never stop trying and eventually we'll see the path to our goals clearly.

This is a very long movie, but it show a very simple principle of life that is"ordinary is happiness." The main character Forrest Gump looked not clever that he was faced with many taunts and obstacles.In addition,he did not have a big dream and what he did is trying his best to do everything. Because of his kind heart, eventually he earned comfortable life.
